The Membership Team has already started planning for renewals. With nearly 2,000 members to renew, and with four different types of membership paying in five different ways all over a couple of months, the big question is how can this be streamlined?
When our current membership secretary told someone she had volunteered to take on the role, they instantly told her she had made a mistake, and the reason was renewal time!
So how can we make renewals less hard work for all the volunteers who kindly staff the office? The answer is to try and get everyone who is able and willing to renew online. We realise not everyone can for various reasons and that’s okay, because we will continue to offer all the various ways to renew. All we ask is that you consider whether you can.
Please register on the Members Portal, then when renewals start just pay via PayPal. You don’t need to have a PayPal account, and you don't need to create one. It is u3a York that has the account. Even if you don’t wish to pay online it's still a good idea to register on the portal as it will enable you to see what information we hold for you and make sure it's up to date.
