u3a York run a number of social events to complement the Saturday talks, these will take place at the Friends Meeting House in Friargate at 10am on a Saturday unless stated otherwise. Please check the "Details" section below, or the email notification, for details because they no longer all take place on Saturday mornings. There is no charge for attendance, but we ask for a donation for refreshments.
Please look out for the email notifying that reservations are open, then reserve your place by contacting the Saturday Socials team. Note that attempts to make a reservation before they are open may not be seen.
During 2026 there will be some informal talks, the ever popular games socials, and themed socials, for example "Words and Music" and "Café Scientifique". If you would like to participate or have any ideas or suggestions please contact Events Lead, Beryl Oppenheim.
