u3a York run a number of social events to complement the Saturday talks, these will take place at the Friends Meeting House in Friargate at 10am unless stated otherwise. Please check the website or email notification for details because they no longer all take place on Saturday mornings. The charge (until 31st May) will be £3, which includes refreshments; from 1st June attendance will be free. Please reserve your place by contacting the Saturday Socials team.
During 2026 there will be some informal talks, the ever popular games socials, and themed socials, for example "Words and Music" and "Café Scientifique". If you would like to participate or have any ideas or suggestions please contact Events Lead, Beryl Oppenheim.
