Self-publishing your book

They say that there is at least one book in all of us. If you are thinking of writing one, or have written one already, then the task of getting it ‘out there’ can seem daunting. The odds of a manuscript being accepted by a traditional publisher is typically less than 2%.

Self-publishing has grown immensely in popularity over the past decade, with millions of books released each year. Self-published titles now make up over 30% of all eBook sales on Amazon. It is no longer seen as a last resort—many authors now choose it strategically for greater control and profitability.

In our group, we have authors that have worked with local small publishers to get their book into print. This usually involves the author providing the funds to layout and print copies of the book and leaving the small publisher the task of selling them. We also have authors that have self-published through platforms like Amazon.

Please join us to share ideas, enjoy each other’s company, and set achievable goals to help get your book ‘out there’
