Without getting too serious, The Early Days of Cinema looks (incidentally) at how the evolution of cinematic technique developed from the end of the nineteenth century to 1939, via the great names of those decades: Chaplin, D.W.Griffith, Douglas Fairbanks, Buster Keaton, Fritz Lang and many others. (A brief discussion, and plenty of laughs too).
It is not terribly academic, and much of the time we just sit back and enjoy the spectacle. Members are also welcome to post opinions to the others after screenings.
