We are a small and enthusiastic group playing traditional English, Scottish and Irish folk music on (mainly) acoustic instruments: fiddle, accordion, guitars, ukulele, and bass. Anyone who enjoys playing good tunes in a relaxed atmosphere might like to join us - new members and new tunes are always welcome. We have a repertoire of plus or minus 60 tunes for which the Scores are stored on Dropbox and can be downloaded and printed therefrom.
We now meet at the Mossdale Residence, a care home in Burnholme, which gives us some space to expand a little - and also a built-in (and appreciative!) audience. We occasionally do gigs at local Care Homes and the Hospital.
We are recruiting, looking specifically for a melody player (fiddle, orĀ squeeze box, or whistle) and a rhythm/chords player (acoustic guitar).
