We are a discussion group looking into various philosophical issues, and their impact on everyday life . We explore and discuss various aspects of philosophy with topics ranging from its ‘building blocks’ to its influence on current affairs. Typically our sessions begin with a presentation interspersed with discussion, sometimes accompanied by handouts, slide show, or video.
Our aim is to provide the opportunity for friendly and open discussion with a wide range of views expressed in a respectful environment. No qualifications or previous knowledge of philosophy is necessary, just an enquiring mind! Everyone is welcome, although we are required to restrict attendance to comply with safety guidelines.
We meet from 1.30pm-4pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from September to June/July
