A series of free walks based on historical times or events in the life of York. Starting point depends on the subject matter, so please check and register before attending!
- All walks start promptly at 1.30pm and last approximately 90 mins.
- For safety and to ensure the guide being heard, group numbers will be restricted to 15.
- Should bookings fall below 6 people, Richard reserves the right to cancel and will advise all concerned.
- To register for a walk email Richard using this form: Georgians, telling him which walk you'd like to attend, on which date, and with the number of your mobile phone (texts are more immediate than emailing when anything needs to change at short notice).
The walks schedule for 2026 is published here as a downloadable document, and shown below (with links to more detail for each walk).
Update 16-Sep: for operational reasons Richard is pulling ‘Epicurean Adventure’, and replacing it with the three walks newly listed below. Anyone booked on those walks should have been contacted already, but there is scope for more to book - please contact Richard using this form: Georgians. Assembly points are linked to a Google Maps location.
