u3a York

Are you a member of u3a York? Do you enjoy travelling abroad with like-minded people? Trips away are only for u3a York members so this can enhance your enjoyment as well as giving you a chance to make new friends. This is an email group, so you need to have an email address yourself or access to an email. Emails will be sent to members only when there is a trip to be publicised. To join this group you need to sign up using this link. You will receive an acknowledgement to confirm you have been added to the group list and when trips are organised you will receive the information.

The important features of our trips will be:

• the itinerary will be one currently available from a tour company;
• participants will book directly with the tour company once the Travel Abroad Group have confirmed their acceptance on the holiday. Mobility requirements could vary by trip. Check with the tour operator for further information.
• all money will be paid directly by the travellers to the tour company not u3a York, enabling you to use a credit card for payment, if you wish;
• the u3a York Group organisers may suggest ways of travelling together to the starting point such as airport or London rail station, but members will be free to make their own plans;
• the u3a York Group organisers will convene a social meeting once you have paid the balance due on the trip so that you can meet others travelling.
  All travel companies will require travel insurance when booking. Do ensure this covers sufficient cancellation cover for the cost of the trip as well as health insurance.
